2. Click on Connect existing domain.
3. On the Connect existing domain page, click on transfer your domain.
4. In the Transfer domain dialog box, enter the domain you want to transfer to Shopify.
5. Click Next.
After completing the process, there is a possibility that a banner may appear indicating that your domain extension is not compatible.

DNS on Shopify - Configurations

If you have a domain managed by Shopify, you can view and edit DNS settings from the Domains page in your Shopify admin panel. If your store uses a myshopify.com URL, you must add a custom domain before you can access DNS settings. It’s important to note that you can only access this page if your store uses a custom URL. You can access and edit the following DNS records:

  • AAAA
  • A
  • CNAME
  • MX
  • SRV
  • TXT

You can also add a custom DNS record:

  1. From your Shopify admin panel, go to Settings > Domains.
  2. Go to Manage for the domain you want to configure.
  3. Navigate to DNS settings.
  4. Click on Add custom record and then select the type of record you want to add.
  5. Enter the mandatory details of the record and then click Confirm.

Finally, if you want to edit a DNS setting:

  1. From your Shopify admin panel, go to Settings > Domains.
  2. Go to Manage for the domain you want to configure.
  3. Access DNS settings.
  4. Click on Actions > Edit for the record you want to change.
